Nothing says fun like our sprinkle birthday cake!  Ruze Cake House Bakery-style cakes are created by stacking five layers of delicious cake with four layers of decadent fillings.  Each cake is handmade to perfection to give your special occasion the sweetness it deserves, without the price-tag of a fully customized design.

Our sprinkle bakery cakes come with sprinkles and a candle.  Upgrading to buttercream flowers in place of sprinkles may be used to give the cake a more feminine finishing touch for an additional fee (+$20).

REGARDING FRESH FLOWERS

All floral decor on fresh floral cakes are inedible and need to be removed prior to cake consumption, unless otherwise stated.

If you’re working with a florist for your special event and would like them to provide the cake blooms, please select the “no floral” option in the dropdown menu when making your purchase (which reduces the cake price by $40).  We are more than happy to add your florist’s blooms to the cake so long as they’re delivered to our shop 24 hours prior to the event. Please leave a note for us at the checkout page with further instructions.

Please note that fresh flowers depend on our florist’s availability. We cannot guarantee an exact size, color, or species of fresh flowers. All images shown during the course of placing your order are for sample purposes only. All flowers bloom differently and naturally, and we cannot shrink or enlarge flowers. Flower placement and quantity may differ especially when the cake in a sample image provided is of different diameter.

While we endeavor to ensure the likeness of designs to sample photos provided, all our cakes are handmade and unique, with no two cakes being the exact same.  Please use the image gallery as a guide as variations in color and appearance may occur.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do you price your cakes?

Custom wedding cake prices range from $7 to $14 per serving, based on complexity of design. This means if you expect 100 guests, please plan no less than $700 (and up to $1400, depending on design) when initially creating your budget. (Most of our wedding cakes designs come closer to $8 per serving after all considerations.)

What happens during the appointment?

We suggest you call to book your appointment about six weeks before you would like to come in, and plan to come in about 5-6 months before your occasion. Tastings are $40 and include enough food for about four people.  But please feel free to bring as many people as you’d like as long as you don’t mind sampling slightly smaller portions! Cake tasting boxes are available for pickup for events with fewer than 60 guests, or for events where the design of the cake is fairly straightforward and can be coordinated by phone and email.  The box includes all the same options as we do during our in-shop tastings and it also feeds about four people. Its cost is $25 and must be pre-ordered.

What preparations do I need to make prior to the appointment?

Preparation is everything!  Color swatches, pictures that you may have seen in magazines or on the internet, your invitations, flower choices from your florist, or any other personalized details (even a fabric swatch) could help us immensely in understanding your taste and in the design process.  So give us all you’ve got during the appointment…no detail is too small!

What happens after the appointment?

After the tasting consultation, we will prepare the proposal and have it your way within about a week or so (depending on our schedule).  If you’d like to proceed, a 50% deposit is due within two weeks of receiving the proposal to secure your event date. Cake sketches might be drawn up, a design is approved, and a contract is signed.  As your wedding date approaches (about two months before) we will contact you just to check and see if any major changes need to be made. When your wedding is 20 days away, we call or email to confirm your final guest count.  Your remaining payment is due when the event is 14 days out. This is the time we work with your reception venue to coordinate the best delivery time and set-up, as well!
